//NEW VISIONS// NOAH WALL - PUBLIC DANCER (DIAMOND ATLAS PREMIERE)

Tina Turner: legendary, beautiful, and effortless.

The highs and lows of her career were often depicted through some of her biggest hits.

One song in particular, the prolific love anthem,“What’s Love Got To Do With It”, is an ode to anyone who’s heart has led them to do foolish things.

The significance of this timeless song can be felt on Noah Wall’s latest LP: Heloise.

Back in January, Noah discussed the importance of morphing this classic into a “super remix”, which is appropriately titled “Public Dancer”. The reworked song, much like all the songs on Heloise, is a beautiful tribute to another legendary women that holds on a spot in Noah’s heart: his mother.

The video for the song, directed by Tara Sinn, sees Noah once again looking to the original Queen of soul in reference.

The glamour, the fashion, vibrant lights, and stunning silhouettes. All these elements combined move in a hypnotic pattern that draws you into a dream-like ecstasy; taking you a dimension that feels reminiscent of Tina’s trademark flare and sass.

For 6 minutes, her classic song is reborn in a synthesized haze, as Noah Wall watches on from the heavens at the sea of gorgeous body movements, shimmering dresses, and endless legs.

Overall, the visuals hold true to what the rework looked to accomplish and offer what I would consider one of the most surreal experiences you’ll ever get from watching a video.

Heloise was a Diamond Atlas favorite last year and this video was definitely worth the wait.

Noah Wall is currently hard at work on something beautiful, which will materialize later this year.

Until then, Noah has released some music from his previous project, Jukeboxer.

Get into that and then maybe get into this old Tina performance from 1993 because it’s pretty amazing.

//NEW VISIONS// WE LOYAL - ARCH OF GLASS

We Loyal’s song “Arch Of Glass” became a Diamond Atlas favorite upon first listen and has been on repeat for quite some time.

This ritualistic pop track is one half of their double a-side single that dropped earlier this year.

The visuals, which come courtesy of Alexander Baumgartner, take you into the most mysterious of waters.

A random head stays submerged throughout the entire video , watching every colour explosion, shadowy figure, toy car, and bokeh of flowers that findsitself floating aimlessly in the deep.

There’s nothing more beautiful than when the treatment for a video mirrors the songs message perfectly, which makes this video A+ in my book.

Here’s to hoping future visuals deliver the same visceral effect as this one.

We Loyal are currently making the tour rounds with Young Magic, but rest assured these dudes have another batch of magical tunes coming soon.

DIAMOND ATLAS MAY MIX COMING MAY 31ST

Diamond Atlas has a few big announcements coming in the summer.

Can’t really get into details, but let’s just say big changes are coming.

The May mix drops on May 31st.

Summertime is weeks away from being official.

This mix should make the transition nice and smooth.

THE FALL

(Photo)

When it comes to local prestige, there’s no words to describe the power of Obhijou’s spiritually harmonizing folk.

As this ever-evolving force continues to ignite warmth in our hearts, Casey and Kieran has been hard at work experimenting with a new musical elixir.

This hypnotic synthesized pop makes quick work on the sub-conscious, eventually leaving you engulfed in electronic haze.

Their lyrical potency so refined that once the two-part harmonies kick in, it only takes a few sweet words to leave your ears completely transfixed on every intricate blip and textured beat; as it all bleeds together to achieve the most supreme symmetry.

The first of three born from this perfect union lies beneath. The rest will continue to bud in the suns immaculate rays.

Warm Myth has been sprouting beautiful tunes pretty steadily.

No big plans have been announced yet, but that can change at anytime.

Soundcloud will continue to reveal all, so stay tuned.

//NEW VISIONS// OS OVNI - AN ODE TO A SPACE CONVICT

A new video for Os Ovni’s galactic synth track ‘An Ode To A Space Convict’ has just surfaced and much like any of their videos, it’s a visual treat.

With a collection of Star Trek VHS and the help of a modified Archer video processor at their disposal, Os Ovni takes these classic episodes to a more fuzzy, circuit bent frontier.

It’s the season they never aired: “Cold Wave Deep Space 9”. I think the kids have the right idea with this one.

This track comes courtesy of the Something Cold label comp, which is available now.

The Detroit synth label might be home to their future releases, but we’ll just have to wait and see.

For more distorted Star Trek episodes, you can view their Youtube channel (if they make anymore).

//NEW VISIONS// TIM & PUMA MIMI - ACCHI KOCCHI

Zurich native Dino Rossi is one of Diamond Atlas favorite video artist.

If you recall, Dino and I collaborated on a visual mixtape for the FMLY last year called Flawless Heart, which was his last video before taking a little break from visuals.

Dino ends his hiatus with a new video for Zurich/Tokyo duos Tim & Puma Mimi’s new song titled: “Acchi Kocchi”.

The spunky, video game pop track feels like the perfect marriage between Grimes and Cibo Matto.

It seems to really be a hit in the deep sea, as Dinos visuals take the song on an aquatic adventure through the Grand Banks of Newfoundland.

The footage is taken from the 80’s doc: Cries From the Deep.

You can stream the whole documentary here

Tim & Puma Mimi’s new LP: The Stone Collection Of (Tim & Puma Mimi) will be released on May 11th. You can stream it now on Mouthwatering Records.

//NEW VISIONS// SLEEPY PARTY PEOPLE - CHIN

Sleepy Party People just recently gave their new track, “Chin”, the visual treatment.

Directed by video arts company, Obscura, the video sees a stunning ballerina pirouette through the solar system.

The use of shapes and colours really creates an ambience that perfectly personifies the songs cosmic dream pop sound.

Her angelic movements become more vibrant as she drifts from planet to planet, eventually leading to a celestial fusion of body, space, and time.

Overall, stunning cinematics and great concept.

In another world, this might’ve been a pretty sweet deleted scene from Black Swan; just saying.

Their latest LP, We Were Drifting On A Sad Song, is available now.
